About Michael Parsa

Michael Parsa was elected as the Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) for the riding of Aurora-Oak Ridges-Richmond Hill in June 2018.

Previously, he served as Associate Minister of Housing, and has held various positions within the legislature, including Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, Parliamentary Assistant to the President of the Treasury Board, Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Finance, Deputy Government Whip, and Deputy Government House Leader.

He has introduced legislation such as Bill 173, An Act to proclaim Ontario Day, Bill 112, An Act to proclaim Green Shirt Day, andBill 271, An Act to proclaim the month of March as Persian Heritage Month.

In March 2023, he was appointed as Minister of Children, Community, and Social Services by Premier Doug Ford. His mission is to build a community where every individual is valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential. As residents of Richmond Hill, Michael and his wife Valerie have always found meaningful ways to give back to the community.

With his values being rooted in hard work, reliability, and dedication to those he serves, he is sincerely honoured to have the opportunity to represent the priorities and concerns of the residents of Aurora-Oak Ridges-Richmond Hill in the Ontario Legislature.
